Brief description of sub-contract works and/or services:
Installation of 630kVA mini-sub. From mini-sub via an 800 kVA Generator, electricity was supplied to a newly built double story building, namely One Health & PACRI at the University of Pretoria – Medical Campus (Prinshof).
The building is a world class Pan Africa Cancer Research Institute (PACRI) dedicated to Cancer prevention.
6 Main DBs were installed to supply all electrical points required for the project.
All services and routing for alarms, IT and cameras were installed with draw wire.
Lightning protection for the building was installed.
Earthing was installed for the Generator plinth and mini-sub.
BASIC CRITERIA – COMPANY MANAGEMENT INFORMATION
Company operations management and protocol.
The Tender documentation, with Bill of Quantities, were submitted to Conscius Electrical Consulting Engineers on 22 March 2022 and we were appointed by GVK Siya-Zama on 8 April 2022, which was completed on 30 November 2022
From April to July we assisted with temporary power supply for Building and Earthing requirements for the structure. Only from end July we were able to start with chasing and preparing the first fix.
Sample of all material was submitted for approval and was approved by end July, except the LED light fittings which was approved at a later stage.
All material was ordered timeously so that all targets could be met each month.
Overtime was required to meet our target and stay within the programme.
Site meetings were held weekly to ensure that we met our weekly target and to decide when overtime was required.
Progress claims were submitted by the 20th of each month.
